A special high density vapour-proof bitumen polymer membrane, this unique membrane performs two functions in one. Firstly, as a vapour barrier, it can seal and waterproof a concrete deck. Secondly, by heating the green-coloured upper signal layer until it turns black, the installing contractor may then position his Paratorch thermal insulation boards, where they are bonded by the cooling bitumen. This eliminates the need for mechanical fixing or separate bitumen bonding of Paratorch insulation boards. Thickness 3.5mm, with cold flexibility of –15 °C.
Lotus 2mm
An elasto-plastomeric bitumen polymer membrane with non-woven polyester fibre reinforcing mat. This membrane is used as a water vapour control layer, applied by torch to timber and concrete decks.
