Insulation
Moy Materials Ltd is a trusted supplier of thermal insulation to the roofing and construction industry. And, with our extensive experience in thermal insulation, we can provide solutions for even the most complex roof configurations.
First, we create an insulation layout from your roof plan. Then, we calculate the required quantities and prepare a manufacturing list to suit your requirements. We also provide detailed u-value calculations showing the projected performance of all roof types. When roof work commences, we follow up with a site visit to ensure insulation is laid correctly.
We can provide insulation boards flat, or with a taper to direct rainwater runoff. The type of board depends on the application. We have 2 categories of Thermal Insulation:
- Paratherm Insulation for Single Ply roof build-ups.
- Paratorch Insulation for Multi Layer (bitumen) roof build-ups.
- Tapered insulation
- Paratorch is an integral part of the Paralon Warm Roof System. Paratorch is a CFC-free composite insulation board with a bitumen impregnated fibreboard facing. This insulation is designed to accept direct torch bonding of Paralon and can also be used in pour and roll bitumen-bonding applications.
- Paratherm Insulation is a CFC-free rigid urethane insulant with a foil layer adhesively bonded to both sides. It is suited to use tapered with most mechanically fixed, single-ply waterproofing membranes. Paratherm is available in both flat and tapered boards.
- Tapered insulation systems provide a useful alternative to the traditional methods of creating falls on flat roofs. In new build situations, tapered insulation will provide the option of removing a screed to falls and combining the insulation layer and falls in one. In refurbishment situations, tapered insulation can resolve existing ponding or drainage issues.
At Moy Materials Ltd, we have extensive experience in addressing drainage and falls issues. We can draft tapered insulation layouts to suit almost any roof configuration. Our layouts are created with both drainage and u-value requirements in mind.
Out tapered boards are supplied in 2 gradients, i.e. 1:60 or 1:80. All boards are supplied with a Hunton High Density Bitumen Impregnated Fibreboard finish.
